I wanna be an indy car racer...after hs where do i begin?

i live in southern california and i do karting as much as possible, read race car driving books, and will be starting a basic automotive cl. i still have a year left of high school and want to get done as much as possible before i graduate..PLEASE any suggestions will be helpful THANKYOU
