I need help! these small pink worm things have invaded my aquarium!!! ASAP?

Hi there, If you take a torch with red cellophane over it a couple of hours after the lights go out you will see a whole new life in your tank. Most are harmless. The worms you speak of could be bristle worms or something similar. Without a picture its hard to be sure.
