!!!!Is The Canon EOS SLR a good camera? Any Picture samples of how it takes pictures?

Canon DSLR's around 800 are the 30D and the 40D. If you are worried about money, a good waterproof case costs several thousand dollars. The ones that are cheap bags just degrade the image quality. Surf and underwater photography is not the way to go to save money. Buy a canon SD point and shoot and get the waterproof casing for it. Good quality pics for a lot less money. From the questions your asking I would advise against spending a ton of money without knowing how to use a camera.
