Mysterious last names for characters?

If you have the imagination and tenacity to write a book then the names of your characters should be formed in your mind already I would have thought. Making the names too complex and flowery tends to be a distraction to the story and simple is better I think. Normal is a state of mind and society dictates what is normal to most. Your idea of normal is different to others ideas of normal so having more flowery different names will not enhance your book. Think too much and it will elude you. You have the book already written inside and you need to put it into words, the names are there and will develop as you write as long as you write from the heart x My name is not your average name but I would not say that makes me abnormal. You see what I am saying here :-)
